The time has come to say good-bye to this blog and start anew, with a different perspective – that of a parent. I hope you’ll join me at my new blog, The Full Monte(ssori), where I’ll explore Montessori from the perspective both of a Montessorian and a new parent. A little less snark (perhaps), a little more “What would Maria Montessori do?”, and a whole lot of interesting topics!! See you there!
My New Project
11 SepOnce upon a time, I gave advice to a parent who had asked my opinion on an issue regarding his daughter. When I finished my suggestions, which were based on several months of observing and interacting with the child, the parent turned to me and snidely asked: “Yes, but, do YOU have children?”
In a few months, it will be time for me to put my money were my mouth is, as my husband and I set out to become parents for the first time. Follow my adventures in Montessori parenting at my new blog – Baby Bewley Blog! That blog was set up for our families and friends to follow our pregnancy, but I’ll be including many posts on natural pregnancy and childbirth, as well as child development topics (with links to them from this blog to keep my subscribers updated on new posts). I hope you’ll join me here and there!
Hugs,
Pilar Bewley

Start your own conversation!
15 AprA friend recently gave me a very simple little pin with three words on it: “Choose. Move. Repeat.” These are the three fundamental rights that every child has in the Montessori classroom. What I absolutely LOVE about this pin is what a GREAT conversation starter it is! Wouldn’t you LOVE a pin or T-shirt of your own with which to start your own conversation?? Well, just head on over to www.metalinsect.com!
Happy shopping!

Greetings from STUNNING Frankfurt, Germany, where I am doing a one-week observation at an amazing school with an even more amazing teacher and an incredible group of inspiring children.
My newest post is up on MariaMontessori.com… It explains what Cosmic Fables are and how they contribute to the child’s understanding of the interrelatedness of our world. Why is this so important, you might wonder? Well, visit the site and find out!
In the meantime, I’ll get back to enjoying the GORGEOUS Spring weather and preparing a slew of new posts…
